KURT SPENCE
Kurt was born and raised in Titusville, PA. He attended Titusville High School and was a three-sport standout for the Rockets. Kurt was a 4-year starter (middle infielder and pitcher) for the Baseball Team, 3-year starter for the Basketball Team, and 2-year starter quarterbacking the Football Team. Kurt received several conference and regional awards during his career and in 2011 Kurt was nominated to the Titusville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Graduating high school as a high honor student and a member of the National Honor Society, Kurt continued his education at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics and a love for problem solving. Kurt built his 20 plus year career in the computer science field and is now the software Applications Manager in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department at Gannon University in Erie, PA. In his current role Kurt is specifically responsible for web and infrastructure programming for the university.
Kurt is a proud member of the Board of Directors of the Second Harvest Foodbank of Northwest Pennsylvania, President of the Our Lady of Peace School Athletic Board, and has volunteer coached for many years for the EYSA, MYAA, and YMCA organizations.
Athletics and fitness continue to be central focus in Kurt’s life. Baseball and running have become his passions. Kurt has completed several half-marathons and most recently completed his first full marathon in Columbus, OH.
Kurt resides in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania and is married to wife Stephanie and proud father of Samuel and Maxim.
